We got wind that Lexus was bringing its V10-powered LFA to the Cars and Coffee event in Irvine, CA so we pulled out our paparazzi skills to track it down and follow it to the event.
The Lexus LFA is a two-seat exotic sports coupe produced by Lexus as a concept car, "halo" vehicle, racing prototype, and production model. It is the second model in the F marque line of performance vehicles from Lexus, following the IS F. Three concept versions have been shown, each debuting at the North American International Auto Show with the LF-A designation as part of the LF Series concept line. The first LF-A concept premiered in 2005, followed in 2007 by a second LF-A with a more completely furnished interior and exterior. The third version of the LF-A, a roadster model, premiered in 2008. The production model, trademarked LFA, was shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2009.
The production Lexus LFA features a new V10 engine and a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) body. The use of CFRP materials, which account for 65 percent of the LFA's body composition by mass, is to reduce overall weight for improved performance. The LFA is scheduled to go into production in late 2010, with a projected run of 500 vehicles at an estimated base price of $US350,000-375,000. A circuit-tuned variant is scheduled for 2012.

This looks just like a Nissan 370 Z with aftermarket do-dads added. No flair like a Ferrari 599 or Aston Martin DBS, although I'm sure it may perform a bit better.
But you could buy an Aston or a Ford GT and still have money to buy a Nissan GTR for what this thing costs.

the LFA isnt a good car. for the price it sells for you could get something WAY faster. but this car is only about the prestige

I love it, its like a SUPRA SPEC-V FXX. I don't care how much it costs, the car is a super car. Toyota did make a GT1 car for lemans back in the days. FROM FERRARI to BMW AND LEXUS its all sheet metal and carbon fiber anyway, buy what you love and if you can't buy it stop HATING.

How is Aston more manly when Ferrari itself is not even meant as some luxury chick car like Aston?
In fact, Aston should not even be considered a sports car to begin with.

the V12 Vantage is comparable to the Ferrari F430 and is indeed a tad bit slower. But the Aston easily has the Ferrari beat in aesthetic.

ok i dont car doesnt look like a 400grand car to me, and as good as the engine sound. in this vid is clearly not all that loud on the road. the interior is a bit better then an R8 but not my much and not as good as a carrera gt. Its a very nice car no doubt, but it just visuallty 'feels' like a typical Z car mod'ed out, or some kinda super celica. no way would i choose this over a new 458italia. and im not all about ferrari either.
