The Wall Street Crash of 1929, also known as the Great Crash or the Stock Market Crash of 1929, was the most devastating stock market crash in the history of the United States, taking into consideration the full extent and duration of its fallout.
Four phrasesBlack Thursday, Black Friday, then Black Monday, and Black Tuesdayare commonly used to describe this collapse of stock values. All four are appropriate, for the crash was not a one-day affair. The initial crash occurred on Thursday, October 24, 1929, but the catastrophic downturn of Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29 precipitated widespread alarm and the onset of an unprecedented and long-lasting economic depression for the United States and the world. This stock market collapse continued for a month.

regulators fall victim to greed and fear. No matter how much they fiddle

Just about every 10 years the market always sees a crash of some kind. This happened back in the 90s and over the years you can see a repeat pattern. Within a few years the market will be back to normal and once we see a bull market that would be the best time to buy into a long term stock.

The stimulus hasnt saved a single job at this point. Traditionally consumption has been 62-66% of GDP not 70%. It needs to get back to 65% which means slow growth for years. Analysis of stimulus spending has shown it to ineffective

The next problem is very, very likely to be inflation. The next downturn in the market will be catastrophic I think. Because this crash was avoided by excessive printing of money and intense government expenditure to buy up derivatives. This cash injection will cause such optimism in the years to come along with demand pushes from BRIC nations another crash, which is much worse than the one we avoided is about to come.
The best choice in the coming years to avoid it is using monetary policy.

Obama reminds me of FDR, and as long as America takes care of its own, America will be fine, life is full of ups and downs and I am an avid trader. The stock market has leveled off in the past few months, the economy has leveled off and is awaiting time to carry it ot of this hole. So all you specticalists out there get a grip, the American people have voted in the fix. History has shown that Democrats pull the country out of holes.

Although history repeats itself, I believe the next drastic history on the scale of the 1929 crash will be one that we cannot think of.
Perhaps we stay in a bear market down for 20 years. Or maybe the same substantial fall will happen to the upside. Maybe we go up the same amount we had fell in 1929. Everyone who shorted stocks today or sold will be jumping off roofs. Maybe the Nasdaq gets to 6000 tomorrow.
My point is...it's going to be something unimaginable at this moment.
