Description >
Wilkins Ice Shelf in Antarctic break-up!
A chunk of ice the size of the Isle of Man has started to break away from Antarctica in what scientists say is further evidence of a warming climate.
Satellite images suggest that part of the ice shelf is disintegrating, and will soon crumble away.
The Wilkins Ice Shelf has been stable for most of the last century, but began retreating in the 1990s.

Who cares if global warming is happening or not. Isn't still a good idea to take better care of our environment!? Honestly, I hope people against the idea of global warming don't have this type of mentality.

Australia Antarctic Division glaciology program head Ian Allison said sea ice losses in west Antarctica over the past 30 years had been more than offset by increases in the Ross Sea region, just one sector of east Antarctica."Sea ice conditions have remained stable in Antarctica generally."Ice core drilling in the fast ice off Davis Station in E Antarctica by the Ant Climate and Ecosystems Co-Op Research Ctr shows last year the ice had a maximum thickness of 1.89m, its densest in 10 years.

The problem is that people take advantage of those who use common sense because they lack scientific knowledge. The more you study science, the less you find that common sense prevails. Is it common sense that satellites need their clocks adjusted a few seconds every year because time runs slower in space? No. Common sense would say that if the clocks run fine on earth, then by gum, they otta run fine in space!

Nobody is criminalizing C02. We're trying to reduce it to mitigate the cause of the greenhouse effect. Was that you're argument? We shouldn't reduce our CO2 emisions...because, hey...plants like it? Or are you suggesting that plants will start growning like crazy and sucking up the excess C02? I don't see the merit in either argument.

Arctic sea ice is now at an 8 year high !

global warming is all about taxation and making people feel responsible for the change in climate which is unpredictable and not MAN made.
This is not to say that running our cars on oil and chucking your mcd's wrapper on the streets is a good thing, but then again they have suppressed Zero Point Energy for so long that people fidn it hard to believe it exists.
We are modern day cavemen living in an oppressed society with antiquated technology, sucks to be us right now!

Funny how the alarmists stay quiet about the Antarctic ... 30 yrs of INCREASING ice doesn't support their nonsense

It is amazing that a belief system can be built on models and nothing else.
It easy easy to program any result you want. No wonder every model has a different forecast.
Garbage in=garbage out
Climate models are based on similar formulae to weather models ... but with much greater error. Why on earth would anyone belief a climate model when a weather model has trouble forecasting 3 days out ?
